Windows Aero is the graphical user interface for Windows Vista an operating system released by Microsoft in November 2006, its name is an acronym for Authentic, Energetic, Reflective and Open.
Windows Aero is available in all but the lest expensive of the Windows Vista editions, Home Basic. However, Windows Vista uses the Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM), as a result, not all computers in use today can support Windows Aero.
